Join NXP's new Industrial and IoT Systems Engineering and Marketing team (ISEM) to define and implement Factory Automation Solutions. The role requires a dynamic candidate with extensive experience in Factory automation, system architecture, product development, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Define winning system solutions and provide input into product roadmaps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure alignment of customer needs and requirements
- Work closely with key customers to understand their business needs and requirements, and translate these into technical requirements for NXP's products
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure that the technical requirements are met and that the products are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide feedback and guidance to the development team on the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and the design choices made
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that the customer's needs and requirements are communicated effectively and that the sales team has the necessary information to close deals
- Collaborate with marketing to develop marketing materials, such as white papers, presentations, and case studies
- Represent NXP at industry events and conferences, and engage with customers and partners to build relationships and increase brand awareness
- Provide technical support to customers and partners, including troubleshooting issues and providing guidance on best practices for using NXP's products.
Job Description
NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Technical Director System Solution Architect - Factory Automation. The ideal candidate will work closely with key customers to define and implement Factory Automation Solutions, helping NXP outgrow the market in the industrial and IoT space. As the Segment System Architect for Factory Automation, the main responsibilities are to: Establish segment strategy, Deliver solutions, Build leadership, Scale system solutions from top customers into the mass market. The candidate should have extensive experience in Factory automation, senior system architecture experience, and strong management skills with a team-first mentality. Experience in motor control, industrial communication networks, functional safety, and SW background is desired. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to drive towards common goals and objectives, engage with key C-level stakeholders at customer to build trust and confidence, understand NXP customer systems, including both software and hardware, and have experience in working with global teams in matrix organizations.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Factory automation, with deep understanding of technologies, trends, and needs
- Senior System Architect with experience ideally from a company operating in developing factory automation solutions
- Extensive experience in defining, developing, and implementing factory automation and robotic HW/SW systems, ideally with a strong SW background.
- Experience in motor control, industrial communication networks, and functional safety
- Strong management skills with a team-first mentality
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally, across many stakeholders to drive towards common goals and objectives
- Ability to engage with key C-level stakeholders at customer to build trust and confidence
- Thorough understanding of NXP customer systems, including both software and hardware, with ability to understand the key complexities and translate them to system solutions we can develop and scale into the mass market
- Experience in working with global teams in matrix organizations
